SUMMARY:Public Talk: Trauma-informed approach to historical memory and present-day tragedies.
DESCRIPTION:Public Talk with Anna Dobrovolskaya: How societies work through violent pasts. \nIn 2026\, our world is facing multiple social\, political\, and economic challenges. A key question remains: what can be done to address them and what does it take to recover after major historical events? \nIs it helpful to understand such events as forms of collective trauma? What changes when we approach the social\, political\, and economic consequences of wars\, conflicts\, and genocides through a trauma-informed perspective? \nThis event explores whether there are meaningful examples and practices for working with historical trauma and collective tragedy\, including dialogue\, reconciliation\, peacebuilding\, peace education. \nIt will also reflect on lessons learned from denazification in Germany\, and whether such experiences can offer insights in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
