DESCRIPTION:Dance workshop with Mariam Davtyan & Narek Minassian  \nHow can we work with difficult histories – not only through words\, but through the body? \nThis workshop explores the intersections of trauma\, historical memory\, and dialogue through dance. Movement becomes a shared language: a way to connect\, reflect\, and engage with complex pasts across cultures. \nWorking together through rhythm and gesture\, participants will explore movement traditions from different backgrounds\, bring their own styles into the process\, and co-create a shared choreography. Poetry and texts will be translated into movement\, alongside live music and traditional instruments. \nWho can participate10–15 participants from diverse backgrounds: dancers\, movers\, and curious newcomers alike. In 2025\, while visiting his father in Russia\, he was arrested. В этот момент рыцарь-узник Томас Мэлори пишет «Смерть Артура» — последний роман Средневековья. \nНа лекции Армена Захаряна мы: \n\nпоговорим про последний великий роман Средневековья;\nпроследим эволюцию литературы от Средневековья до постмодерна;\n пройдемся от Джеффри Чосера и главного героя этой лекции – рыцаря-узника Томаса Мэлори – до Леонардо да Винчи и Пьеро делла Франческа;\nузнаем\, как и при каких обстоятельствах рождалось Новое время и как этот перелом отразился в литературе.\n\nНе нужно заранее читать произведение. This is not the first time humanity has experienced such a rupture. \nIt is the end of the fifteenth century. The medieval worldview is beginning to crack: values\, rules\, and language are all changing. People feel confused and disoriented\, searching for something — anything — to hold on to. At this moment\, the knight and prisoner Thomas Malory writes Le Morte Darthur — the last romance of the Middle Ages. \nAt the lecture by Armen Zakharyan\, we will: \n\ntalk about the last great novel of the Middle Ages;\ntrace the evolution of literature from the Middle Ages to postmodernism;\nmove from Geoffrey Chaucer and the central figure of this lecture\, the imprisoned knight Thomas Malory\, to Leonardo da Vinci and Piero della Francesca;\nexplore how the modern age began\, under what conditions it emerged\, and how this transformation was reflected in literature.\n\nYou do not need to have read the book. You do not need any background in medieval history. Менялись годы\, обстоятельства\, отношения\, сама жизнь — и вместе с ней менялся текст. \nЧто заставляло её продолжать эту историю? Кому было посвящено чёрное кольцо? Где заканчивается биография и начинается поэзия? \nВ течение вечера Алиса Гребенщикова шаг за шагом раскрывает историю произведения и людей\, связанных с ним. \nСтихи Ахматовой звучат рядом с письмами\, дневниками\, воспоминаниями современников и документами эпохи. Из отдельных голосов\, признаний и строк складывается история любви и разлуки\, близости и одиночества\, памяти и времени. \nПочему к одной истории можно возвращаться девятнадцать лет спустя? Горького и театре «Практика». \nМероприятие пройдет на русском языке. \n*** \nOne of Anna Akhmatova’s best-known and most enigmatic works\, The Tale of the Black Ring\, took almost two decades to complete. \nAkhmatova continued to reshape the work over almost two decades. As her circumstances and relationships changed\, the text evolved with them. \nWhat kept drawing her back to this story? Who was the black ring dedicated to? Where does biography end and poetry begin? \nOver the course of the evening\, Alisa Grebenshchikova gradually unfolds the story behind the work and the people connected to it. \nAkhmatova’s poems are interwoven with her letters and diaries\, memoirs by her contemporaries\, and documents from the period. Together\, these fragments form a story of love and separation\, intimacy and solitude\, memory and time. \nWhy return to the same story nineteen years later? And why do poems written more than a century ago still feel as if they are speaking directly to us? \nAlisa Grebenshchikova is an actress\, director and creator of literary programmes.
